What’s it all about?
Balatro asks a different question from ordinary poker: how can this particular deck reach the next score target? Poker hands supply the starting values, but Jokers and other upgrades change which cards are worth keeping. A modest pair can become more useful than a rarer hand when the rest of the build rewards it.
Read a boss blind before choosing your approach. Its restriction may expose a weakness that earlier rounds let you ignore. Spending in the shop also creates a trade-off between improving immediately and holding money for later opportunities.
