THE QUICK INTRODUCTION
What’s it all about?
Unpacking makes a move into a new home the whole activity. You take possessions from boxes and decide where they fit among the furniture and other objects. Space matters, but so does function: arranging something attractively does not always put it in an appropriate place.
The belongings provide the story without requiring a long explanation between rooms. An item that returns later, or a different amount of space, can make a change in circumstances noticeable. There is no timer pushing you through the arrangement. This suits players who enjoy looking closely at ordinary objects and working out a room, rather than chasing a score or managing a household simulation.
