THE QUICK INTRODUCTION
What’s it all about?
The Witness gives you an island to walk through and panels that ask you to draw a line. The complexity comes from learning what each arrangement means, then recognising when a familiar-looking puzzle is asking a different question. Observation is the main tool, both on the panel and around it.
A useful habit is to treat a failed attempt as evidence about a rule rather than as wasted effort. Moving to another area can also reveal an idea that makes an earlier problem clearer. This suits patient puzzle solvers who enjoy inference without constant instruction. The island’s open structure gives you room to change focus, but it does not promise that every insight arrives quickly.
