Inside the game
THE QUICK INTRODUCTION
What’s it all about?
Skater XL makes the relationship between input and board movement its main attraction. Independent foot control gives you a way to shape tricks, while skate spots invite experimentation with lines, obstacles and landings. Learning what a small input change does is part of the pleasure.
The open structure makes it useful to set your own goals: land one trick reliably, then connect it to another feature of the spot. A player who needs a heavily directed campaign may prefer a different style of skating game. Here, the reward is often the quality of a movement or the satisfaction of recording a line you worked out yourself.
