What’s it all about?
Spelunky 2 rewards checking what lies around and behind the route you first notice. Branches and connected areas can change an expedition, while creatures, liquids and other hazards make the environment behave as more than a set of fixed platforms. An action intended to clear one obstacle can create another.
Learning the consequences of those interactions is part of surviving repeated runs. Resources still need a purpose, and a tempting discovery is not always worth abandoning a safe exit. Cooperative play adds another person’s movement and decisions to the situation. Its installation is modest, but the official PC requirements are higher than those of the first Spelunky; check them before choosing it for an older machine.
