THE QUICK INTRODUCTION

What’s it all about?

Pentiment places an artist inside the disputes of a Bavarian town and its nearby abbey. You investigate by speaking to people, examining details and deciding how to use limited time. The illustrated presentation is more than decoration: books, lettering and social position are part of how this world communicates.

The most interesting pressure comes from having to act before every uncertainty is resolved. A background choice or conversation can reveal one perspective while leaving another out, and the community continues to carry the consequences. It suits readers willing to weigh conflicting accounts. Do not approach it expecting a detective game that always supplies a tidy, fully provable answer before a decision.
