THE QUICK INTRODUCTION

What’s it all about?

Hollow Knight starts with a small figure and a large unknown beneath the surface. Its ruined kingdom connects combat, platforming and exploration: a passage that seems unreachable can become a sensible route after finding a new ability. The map is something you learn, rather than a checklist that reveals every answer immediately.

A demanding boss can interrupt that quiet exploration, so the atmosphere should not be mistaken for an easygoing difficulty curve. Charms let you adjust your approach, while careful observation often matters more than attacking constantly. This entry covers the original Hollow Knight, not Silksong. Only official native releases are counted; unofficial mobile ports do not establish Android or iOS support.
