THE QUICK INTRODUCTION

What’s it all about?

Planet Coaster gives you two related projects: making a place people want to visit and keeping that place working. Building a coaster is a creative challenge, while paths, queues, shops and operating costs determine how well the surrounding park supports it. A striking design can still need a more sensible entrance.

The building tools reward patience with detail, but a small functioning park is a useful starting point. Watching guests and testing a ride provide feedback that a distant overview can miss. It is suited to players who enjoy both model-making and management. The first game and Planet Coaster 2 are separate releases; this entry covers the original and its edition-dependent add-ons.
