Inside the game
THE QUICK INTRODUCTION
What’s it all about?
Townscaper removes the usual city-building questions about money and residents. Its purpose is to let you place and remove blocks, then see how the structure changes. A small adjustment to the footprint or height can produce a different roofline, passage or supporting detail.
Without a score or a campaign objective, the reason to keep building is the arrangement itself. Try leaving a gap, raising one section or changing the colours before expanding everything at once. This is closer to experimenting with a model town than running a transport or economy simulation. It suits players who enjoy making a place look interesting without needing the game to judge whether that place is efficient.
Your kind of game if…
