Inside the game
THE QUICK INTRODUCTION
What’s it all about?
Kerbal Space Program gives you components and asks whether the vehicle assembled from them can complete a mission. Thrust, mass, fuel and staging have visible consequences, often before the rocket has gone very far. Its small green crew provide a playful frame for a serious lesson in movement.
Orbit is the useful turning point: getting high enough and travelling sideways fast enough are different requirements. Once that distinction clicks, manoeuvres and future missions become easier to reason about. It suits players who enjoy experimenting, looking at what failed and making a more deliberate next design. This is the original Kerbal Space Program, with expansion content depending on the purchase.
