Inside the game
THE QUICK INTRODUCTION
What’s it all about?
Tyranny begins from an uncomfortable position: the conquering power has already won, and your character helps enforce its rule. Decisions about factions and disputes therefore concern the use of authority as much as resistance to it. Conversations can alter whose trust you hold and which possibilities remain open.
Its party-based battles and spell systems provide a tactical layer, but the premise gives the role-playing its particular edge. A pragmatic decision may carry a cost for people who had little say in the conflict. Players who enjoy arguing through difficult positions will find that more interesting than a simple choice between a kind answer and a cruel one.
