THE QUICK ANSWER

A first campaign has a 15-20-hour reference in the selected guide, with new players potentially needing closer to 25 hours. Reaching one ending does not reveal every mission path. Later cycles and demanding S-rank attempts belong to a wider objective than the first-story card.

PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S are verified platforms. The original August 2023 launch is used. Steam Deck: Playable in Valve’s current compatibility report; this is a PC-device rating, not a native console edition.

PLAN YOUR PLAYTHROUGH

What counts toward completion?

Main Story
Reach one first campaign ending. The 17.5-hour reference is the midpoint of 15-20 hours; the source notes that familiarity and combat skill can move it substantially.
Main + Extras
Include additional optional work while progressing. A consistently separated first-run Main + Extras duration was not established, so no numerical middle card is invented.
100% Completion
Further mission paths require repeat cycles. The source describes roughly 30-40 hours for three runs and an open-ended 50+ hours for a platinum/S-rank scope. Neither is a precise universal every-objective total.

What affects playtime?

A difficult encounter may ask for a different approach as well as more attempts. Time spent changing an assembly and learning the fight belongs to your actual run. Keep a first ending separate from a practiced replay or deliberate S-rank session.

New Game Plus & replay

New Game Plus and New Game Plus Plus contain further mission paths. The source budgets additional time across three runs; the first-ending card covers only the first cycle.

Multiplayer & co-op

Competitive matches are separate from completing the campaign and its mission paths. Only your own campaign time belongs in the selected completion objective.

BEYOND THE BASE GAME

DLC, expansions & editions

Only Fires of Rubicon’s base campaign is timed. Other Armored Core games and separate competitive sessions are excluded. No unsupported expansion or combined-series duration is claimed.

Separate estimates may overlap. They are not automatically added into a full-game total.

THE EVIDENCE BEHIND THE ESTIMATE

Sources & methodology

Checked 19 October 2026. Main uses (15+20)/2 = 17.5. The guide’s novice, veteran and repeated-route estimates are retained as skill and scope context. The 50+ trophy lower bound is not converted into a fixed completionist number. Independent same-scope numerical corroboration was not established. These are externally sourced planning values, not GamersVora playtests or player averages. All Styles is unknown.

How community estimates work

Only approved, completed playthroughs count. We use each player’s latest approved run per objective. All Styles uses one latest run per player across objectives and is a mixed-playstyle figure. Community medians appear after at least 10 distinct players. Average and median are rounded to the nearest minute. Rushed and leisure are the 10th and 90th nearest-rank percentiles, shown only with at least 20 players. Platform breakdowns use the same minimum sample requirement. These are user-reported durations, not independently verified playtests.
